Why you should think about silicone kitchen utensils
Time to Upgrade Your Kitchen Utensils.
Do you ever find that you just cannot get the right tool to do the job you want to do? It happens to everyone in all sorts of situations. Just take the simple task of cooking an egg.
You have your nice, shiny, new non-stick pan with a little oil warming nicely. Break the egg and listen to that lovely sizzle as it hits the hot oil and begin to smile at the thought of how great it is going to taste when it is served up in a couple of minutes time.
But then, PANIC!
Your trusty one year old nylon spatula has seen better days. It has been sat on the side of too many pans in its all too short lifetime and now the handle has started to melt and fall off.
Worse than that, the edges are now so deformed by the heat that they stick to anything you try to pick up and make it impossible to carry out a simple task like separating a couple of frying eggs, or flipping a pancake.
You can’t risk your stainless steel egg flipper on a non-stick pan. After all, the pan is brand new and I bet you’d like it to last a while before bits of the non-stick coating are chipped off and your eggs and pancakes start sticking to the bottom, eventually peeling away with bits of the pan stuck to them.
At last you turn to your old wooden spatula, but when it comes out of the dishwasher you see that it has a horrible furry coating and feels slimy to the touch. I wouldn’t want that touching my food!
So, what is the answer?
Silicone rubber. Silicone rubber utensils don’t melt or deform in the heat. They are safe to use on non-stick pans. They are also dishwasher safe.
Not only that, you can have just about any utensil you need made from silicone rubber and they last for years!
Yum Yum silicone rubber kitchen utensils are made from one single piece of silicone rubber molded around a hard nylon core so:-
