Get a large, cold egg ready by cracking it into a custard cup, then use a spoon to make a whirlpool in the water and carefully drop the egg into the center of the vortex. Turn off the heat, cover and LEAVE IT ALONE for 5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain and serve up your perfectly poached egg.
